AYDA 2023-2024

The Real IFFC Advanced Youth Development Academy (AYDA) is designed for those that want to take their soccer experience above the recreational level. The program focuses on having fun in a player-centered environment that best helps kids develop their soccer skills.

There are two AYDA seasons each year – one in the Fall (August to October) and the other in the Spring (April to May). However, additional practices occur during the winter and summer months. Winter practices are held at the Real IFFC Indoor Training Facility in Idaho Falls. 

AYDA is for boys and girls in the U7 and U8 age groups. Teams may be gender specific or co-ed depending on level of interest. Kids will have practices and/or games two to three times a week. For the 2023-2024 soccer year, this program is for players born 2016-2017.

Other program highlights include:
• AYDA coaches have U.S. Youth Soccer coach certification and/or previous playing and coaching experience
• Games are played against other club teams from Idaho Falls and Pocatello areas
• Potential opportunities to participate in tournaments or jamborees in Idaho or Utah
• Player evaluations are performed before each season to determine if AYDA is best fit for the player
• Cost for Real IFFC jerseys are not included in registration price

The evalutions are held to determine if it is recommended for kids to play in the AYDA program, or the more recretional Youth Development Academy. Kids will need to come to only one of the Evaluations, but are welcome to come to multiple.

Registration is a two-step process:
  • Step one – Kids should register with the link below before coming to an Evaluation. This registration will consist of completing checkout with a $0 balance. 
  • Step two – After coming to an Evaluation and if recommended for the AYDA program, parents will receive an email will further instrutions to finish registration and pay the registration fee.

Real IFFC 2023-2024: Players 2005-2011

Real IFFC is truly committed to providing an unparalleled soccer experience for all who have an interest in the game of soccer. In lieu of the traditional “try out” format, IFFC will continue to utilize Age Group Assessments (AGA) to evaluate and place players for the 2023-24 season. 

Current IFFC players will be participating in multiple Age Group Assessments throughout the 2022-23 season. AGA’s will provide all players the opportunity to practice with, and against all players from their own age group so an accurate placement of each player can take place for the 2023-24 season. Additionally, feedback from the player’s current coach will be taken into consideration so that each player is placed on a team that is commensurate with their ability. Player movement will be ongoing in order to make adjustments to a player’s placement if beneficial to a players development. 

We believe that the ongoing evaluation of existing IFFC players is a more effective and efficient way to correctly place players. We strive to constantly provide all players with the pathway and the opportunity to be evaluated for the highest level of competition aligned to their ability. 

New players will have the chance to be assessed on June 5/6th with more focus and attention given to players joining the club, as this will be the first time they are assessed.
Coaches will assess and discuss player placement based on the players ability level centered on the four pillars of the game

  • Technical: Individual ball mastery (skills).
  • Tactical: The ability to make decisions on and off the ball.
  • Mental: The competitive nature and overall attitude of the player.
  • Physical: The speed, agility, strength and fitness level of the player.

** Notes:
  • Assessment registration is free. Team registration fees will not need to be paid until after you get your acceptance notification
  • Assessment results will be sent out Monday June 12 - Tuesday June 13. Player response due NO later than June 16, 2023.
  • Uniform costs are NOT built into the registration fee
  • Late registration fees (players 2009-2015): June 23, 2023: $40
  • A player photo MUST be uploaded (passport style: no hats, sunglasses, etc.) to player profile.

Real IFFC Summer Camp 2023 - Half Day

Welcome to our second year of hosting our summer camp at Taylorview Elementary School. Last year we hosted 80+ players to enjoy a full camp experience ran by Executive Director Alex Minton. This year we will be bringing out of town qualified coaches for players to learn from.

The week will be a combination of fun games and learning the basics of soccer. Alex Minton will be directing this age group and has extensive knowledge on what players need at this age. The main goals are having fun, plenty of touches on the ball and working towards communicating with other players!

Real IFFC Summer Camp 2023 - Full Day

Welcome to our third year of hosting our summer camp at Taylorview Middle School. Last year we hosted 80+ players to enjoy a full camp experience ran by Executive Director Alex Minton. This year we will be bringing out of town qualified coaches for players to learn from.

The schedule for the week will look like the following:

Monday: Dribbling, skills moves like the pros, 1v1/2v2 and larger sized games
Tuesday: Passing and receiving using different types of the foot. Combination player/movement off the ball, 2v1, 3v2 and larger sized games
Wednesday: Defending. How to delay, different techniques of defending, reading the play and group defending, 2v3, 3v4 & 5v5. Afternoon: Finishing. Exploring different ways to strike the ball to the goal, when and where to shoot, technique of volley and half volley, finishes from crosses.
Thursday: World Cup style open play!! All the teams will be given a country to represent in a world up group style play with quarter finals, semi finals and final.

We will be offering a second player sibling discount of $25 and a third player sibling discount of $50
